Simba’s Quinnlyn
The breeding combination of Joy with 9 time champion Simba was definitely the right one! Quinlynn expresses the best of both. Although she has very similar markings to her dam, her blanket is entirely solid (Joy has checkerboard markings on one side). Under the revised 2009 show rules, Quinnlyn is a Pinto but usually shows with multis of all sorts, including many light fibered animals. Quinlynn’s fiber is bright, soft, very crimpy and with a good staple length.
At her first show, Quinnlyn placed second with the judge commenting on her bright, even-charactered fleece. The judge stated it was impressive and had a soft handle, which is supported by her fiber stats. In another show, Quinnlyn took blue with raves about her bright fleece, that is consistent, soft, dense and has a beautiful handle! And at her most recent show, the 2010 NAAS, Quinnlyn took blue and Color Champion!
We have both mom and daughter on the sales list, but will only sell one. We definitely want to keep those genetics! Quinlynn is bred to Golden Sovereign, a Legacy Gold son co-owned with CCNF. She also sells with $150 credit toward fiber processing at the Vermont Fiber Mill & Studio.
