Calix’s Frisco

The breeding combination of Joy with our own Calix was definitely the right one! Frisco has very similar markings to his dam and half-sister, which makes them all stand out in the herd. While technically a multi, his blanket is entirely solid making it nice for processing and breeding options.

In his first show, Frisco was the Color Champion, competing against serveral other light fibered animals.  His fiber is dense, bright, soft, very crimpy and with excellent staple length.  And his conformation is strong as well.  While his 2nd and 3rd shows did not offer a Color Champion, Frisco did take blue and “clearly came to the top of the class” in both cases.  Again the judges complimented his “brilliant brightness”, soft handle, extremely long staple length and consistency throughout the fiber.  He is also nicely developed and true to type.

Frisco also sells with $150 credit toward fiber processing at the Vermont Fiber Mill & Studio.
